On Becoming: The Questions That Define Us
“"Because a person is not merely who they are; they are who they continue to become." Reflections from Adıyaman to operating rooms, music, and the open road.”
1993, Adıyaman. Growing up surrounded by ancient mountains and vibrant oral traditions taught me early on that listening is a profound human art.
My years studying anesthesia and working inside operating rooms demystified life's fragility. In those quiet seconds before sleep takes over, you realize how much trust another human places in your presence.
Music and reading became my sanctuary. A melody or an essay reminds us that our work should never reduce us to a single occupational label.
Health coordination, for me, is an extension of this belief: meeting people at a turning point in their self-perception and walking alongside them with respect, clarity, and kindness.
